DAY 1°
Starting point Govone with its famous castle built by Benedetto Alfieri, once a medieval fortress. Driving along a hilly road surrounded by vineyards you arrive at Barbaresco, famous for its wine named after it. In the square you can visit the Council House, San Donato Church which now houses the regional winery where you can stop and enjoy some wine tasting. Continue towards Mango and have a stroll through the Open Air Cultural Park dedicated to the writer Beppe Fenoglio with wonderful view points where you can admire  some breath taking views of this beautiful landscape . The regional winery Moscato d’Asti is housed in the castle where you can taste the famous sparkling sweet white wine.
Continue towards Alba, capital of the Langhe area, native city of the writer of Beppe Fenoglio,  (author of  “Johnny the Partisan”) which is well known for its precious truffles. Alba is famous for its hundred towers, historical medieval town centre, its Dome in Roman-Gothic style, Council House and numerous churches. Time free for lunch.

DAY 2°
Leaving Alba towards Grinzane Cavour you may visit the castle once lived in by the Duke of Cavour which now houses the regional winery of Piedmont wines. The tour continues towards La Morra, a town surrounded by vineyards, to admire panoramic views of the Langhe area.  Arriving at Barolo world  famous for its wine, visit Faletti castle that today houses the regional winery and museum on wine techniques and arts.
Continue to Manforte d’Alba, admire panoramic views of vineyards and woodlands which offer unforgettable colours that change with each season.          
Lunch in a characteristic restaurant of the area.
