Torna alla home

Magical and mysterious, a land that has many stories and legends to tell awaiting to be discovered.

2nd DAY
THE WITCH MICILLINA
Leaving Bra passing through woodlands along the road with its continuous ups and downs, across steep hills and deep gorges. We follow the famous “Rocche”, rocks which are the result of erosion by the Tanaro River which leads up to Pocapaglia, where the legend of the Witch Micillina is still being told: she lived at the end of the 16th century and was burnt on the stake accused of being responsible for the accidents and diseases which befell the villagers.
The slightly scary location together with the crimson colouring of the “Brik D’la masca” stone where the execution took place , gives the place a real air of mystery.
