2° DAY
THE HISTORICAL MOSCATO CELLARS
Breakfast. The tour continues with stops at the castle of Costigliole d’Asti, at Agliano Terme and its sulphur spring, in Nizza Monferrato and in Mombaruzzo, where the famous buiscuits “amaretti” are made following the original recipe that dates back to the end of the 18th century.
We then head back to Asti, stopping by Canelli, famous for its Moscato wine, to visit the Historic Cellars of the Gancia Factory with a walk to the Gancia Castle for a quick view of the surrounding hills.

3° DAY
THE TIPICAL CHEESE
Breakfast. We leave the Monferrato to venture into the langa alta, going through Loazzolo, Bubbio, Monastero Bormida and reaching Roccaverano, at a height of almost 800 m., to taste the delicious Robiola DOP, a creamy cheese that goes well with honey or grape mustard but also with oil, herbs and salt. |
1° DAY
THE BARBERA LANDS
Arrival in the city of Asti.
Walking tour of the town, through the historic centre discovering the traces of medieval, gothic and baroque architecture.
We then leave town on a southbound route along the colourful vineyards. Wine tasting starts here at a local cellar where Barbera del Monferrato Doc is produced.
Overnight in a farmhouse.
